Céline Dion Weighs In On The ‘Titanic’ Door Debate

Nov 19, 2019 by apost team

Céline Dion is having a Célinaissance with the release of her new album, “Courage” and her current status as a new fashion icon. She has been making the rounds on the late night talk shows and recently appeared on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon to talk about her new work as well as a very controversial topic: Whether or not there was enough room on the floating door at the end of “Titanic” for both Jack and Rose.

The “My Heart Will Go On” singer weighed in on the heated debate with some sensible opinions in her typical Céline flair. Jimmy Fallon has talked to Céline on his show before and mentioned that he likes to ask “Titanic” questions whenever she’s there.

He said the topic was still being talked about today on the internet, even though the film came out in 1998. He brought out a picture of Jack and Rose on the door, and said that if Rose could have possibly scooted over a little bit, she could have saved Jack’s life.

Céline pleaded with the host not to get her in trouble in case they do a sequel. But after some coaxing, she gave her opinion in two parts. Firstly she said, “Rose is maybe dead or totally frozen, and she's not quite all there, okay?” and brought up a very good second point: “Second of all, he doesn’t need an invitation. Come on, baby! Make himself comfortable. Jump in. You know?”

She also threw in a rebuttal to her own debate saying that maybe Jack was a little too cold to pull himself onto the door. Naturally, the next thing Céline and Jimmy did was sing an impromptu version of The Pointer Sisters’ “Jump In.”

She’s Céline Dion, she can do whatever she wants, including settle this decades-long debate with a definitive answer. You can now watch the hilarious interview at the video below:

What do you think? Would Jack and Rose have survived together on the floating door? Or would they have sunk into the sea like the heart of the ocean? Tell us in the comments below and ask your friends and family too.
