Céline Dion opened up about her late husband, René Angélil, and what it has been like to go through her career without him. Angélil was Dion's manager and father to her children, he sadly passed away in 2016 from a heart attack.

The five-time Grammy award winner sat down with CBS This Morning to discuss her career working through such a big loss in her life.

“When I look back now, my family went through a lot losing my manager, the father of my kids, my friend,” she said. “I feel his vibration and his support forever. When I’m not on stage and my fans are home and I go in a hotel, I don’t have any pillow talk.”

Angélil had been Dion's manager since she was 12 years old. However, the relationship between the two was not romantic until Dion was much older. When asked if Dion is open to finding love again, Dion said: "I'm an open book."

At 51-years-old the iconic singer has seemed to found a new lease on life, her attitude and confidence have given her the right tools to stay relevant with new fans. She told the LA Times that she is very flattered by all the young fans she sees in her audience.

“For me, I’m very impressed about that. I always thought my crowd was going to mature with me, and then it would fade a little bit. But what happened? I planted cucumbers in my garden, and now I have cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, radish.”

Dion has used her grief as strength to fuel the “Dionaissance” as fans are calling it where she is selling out venues on her “Courage” World Tour. Dion told CBS:

"I’m enjoying my life so much more now than ever before. I needed to prove to myself that I could do it—to my family, to my friends, to the business people, the industry, the fans, that I can continue to sing and not just have a hit but have a career. I feel like I can do anything I want."
