Celine Dion Shares Rare Family Photograph Of All Three Kids In Stirring Post For Mother’s Day

May 9, 2021, was Mother's Day, and many celebrities took the opportunity to thank their own mothers while also sharing photos of their children for the day on social media. Celine Dion also joined the ranks of proud and happy mothers and posted a rare photo of all three other children on her official Instagram page. Dion has three children whom she shares with her late husband, René Angélil — René-Charles Angélil, 20, and twins Nelson and Eddy Angélil who are 10 years old. 

Dion doesn't share many photos of her children, but in recent years she has given us a glimpse into her family life. Her past posts have commemorated birthdays and important holidays, but Dion is known for her infrequent and rare photos of her family. It is wonderful then to see her with her children on this Mother's Day. 

It's clear from photos that she posts that Dion is quite the doting mother who is absolutely enamored with her kids. What's more, the family resemblance is hard to deny, with her elder son René-Charles bearing his famous mother's piercing eyes and uplifting smile. The children have lost their father far too young however after Rene passed away after a long battle with cancer in 2016. 

Dion has since done her best to give her children all her love and support and based on the posts that she uploads for her children, it is clear that is more important to the world-renowned singer than her family. Her poignant post for Mother's Day certainly reflects that. 

The photo that she uploaded for Mother's Day had all three of her children as well as the family's three dogs! The family is seen sitting on a plush white blanket with a tree draped by the sunlight in the background. The caption read:

"Who’s having the best day today, me or the kids ? What a privilege it is to be a mom ! Happy Mother’s Day ! Enjoy every moment…Can it get any better than that ? To be continued…All my love, Celine xx…"

Dion has made her made love for her family very clear in the past. "I think we are very blessed to have the opportunity and a blessing to be a mother. I think when you are -- when you have a child, it's like there's another heart that grows inside of you. You have this like second heart.” she said according to ABC News. 

Dion was open about her struggles with fertility in the past when she was trying to conceive. "I've always been an open book. My way for me to deal with my own situation is that I take one step at a time. It's something very beautiful when you want to conceive and when you want to be parents again, when you want to be bless again. And for me to share this is about also bonding with other women that are going through the same thing," she told ABC news. 

She has cherished her role as a mother and continues to give her children the best. She has also spoken about raising her kids to various news outlets.

About her then-18-year-old son René-Charles, she told Dan Wootton of British TV Show "Lorraine," "He's a normal teenager, growing, trying things, exploring -- and I think that's the way it should be." She continued, "Sometimes you try to embrace them, sometimes you're trying to help them to find their path, but they have to find their own way at one point because if you pull the cable too, too much, they can really go wild and off."

Dion has encouraged her son to explore different avenues, and René-Charles has reportedly been actively involved in sports and music among other things. She has expressed her deep love for him in a post she uploaded on his 18th birthday, where she wrote:

"Today, you are 18 years old…already! You have become a man and I am very proud of who you are today, and of who you are becoming each passing day."

She also referred to her late husband in the post, as she said, "Your father continues to guide you, helping you to make the right choices. And I am here to walk beside you and always embrace you with my unconditional love." 

René Angélil's death was hard on everyone in the family, especially so for Dion whose love story with her former manager was controversial at the time. Despite their 26 year age difference, the couple had quite the love story and proved all naysayers wrong as they shared their bond and love for family with the world. Despite being a single parent, Dion knows that her late husband remains with them in their hearts. 

"He gave me so much strength through all these years and so much luggage for me now to explore and for me now to spread my wings," Dion said.
