Céline Dion Says Her Late Husband, René Angélil, Is The Only Man She's Ever Kissed – "I'm Still In Love With Him"

 Celine Dion opened up about her husband’s death and moving forward with her career. The 51-year-old has kept busy since René Angélil’s passing however she revealed that she’s not quite ready to move on with anybody new. 

In an interview with CBS News, the singer opened up saying that she's still in love with her husband even years after his death. 

“I love. I love. I love him. I’m still in love with him."

Additionally, the five-time Grammy award winner told Today that she isn’t ready to be with anyone romantically. “I don’t date. I’m not ready to date. I’m very lucky and happy to have so many people in my surrounding to make me — they make me laugh, but I miss to be touched,” she said.

“I miss to be hugged. I missed to be told, ‘You’re beautiful.’ I miss what a boyfriend and I miss what a husband would do.”

Angélil tragically passed away from a heart attack in 2016. Angélil had been Dion's manager since she was 12 years old. However, the relationship between the two was not romantic until Dion was much older.

Dion told GMA that she is "learning to make her own decisions, taking on new projects and slowly finding confidence again, without the man who guided her life for so long and helped propel her to stardom."

However, Dion says her mourning for her husband will probably never end. To The Sun Dion said,  “I think I will probably grieve for the rest of my life." But she optimistically added,

“Rene has prepared me for all my life since I’m 12. I have never met another man in my life, never kissed another man in my life. I miss him a lot. I miss him a lot — for my partner, for the man I was embracing, kissing, making love with. My worries, my dreams ...”
