Celine Dion Is Back With An Awesome New Dance Track
Jul 05, 2019 by apost team
Céline Dion debuted new music last month at her last performance of her 16-year residency run in Las Vegas. Although most fans are familiar with Dion's emotional ballads like from the songs, "Because You Loved Me" and "My Heart Will Go On," this new tune takes on an EDM vibe.
The new song is called, "Flying On My Own," which echoes Dion's experience of dealing with the loss of her husband René Angélil. In the song, she sings the verse "I'm flying on my own on the wings of your love." Angélil tragedically passed away from a heart attack in 2016. Dion told GMA that she is "learning to make her own decisions, taking on new projects and slowly finding confidence again, without the man who guided her life for so long and helped propel her to stardom."

Angélil had been Dion's manager since she was 12 years old. However, the relationship between the two was not romantic until Dion was much older. Angélil and Dion talked about how they met in an interview with Larry King in 1999, "We were in Dublin, in Ireland for the Euro Vision contest 1988 and at night when we kissed goodnight we always kissed on the cheek, and that night I made a little stop right here,"Angélil said motioning towards his lips, "and everything changed." Dion said she was in love with Angélil for a long time before that night.
Now since Angélil's passing, Dion has had to go on her own in raising their three children and managing her career. Before Dion performed "Flying On My Own" for the first time she said “I have been waiting for a long, long time for… It’s my brand new song. I have to admit that my knees are shaking right now, I’m very nervous,” according to People. The new song sounds like it could be played in an EDM club, and we really can't get enough of it! Dion's album is set to be released this November according to Billboard, but not before she goes on her "Courage" World Tour in September. When GMA asked her if she is ready for love again, the singer said,
"I am in love. Love is not necessarily to marry again when I see a rainbow when I see a sunset ... a beautiful dance number, I laugh, I cry. I'm in love. I go on stage every night because I love what I do," Dion said. "So I'm very much in love."
