Céline Dion sang Une Chance Qu’on S’a from her living room in Las Vegas on Tuesday to entertain her fans amid the coronavirus crisis and to help raise funds for charity. In the background of the footage, Céline shared black-and-white photos of her three children, René-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson.

Céline Dion always knew that she wanted two things out of life: to be a singer and to be a mother. Making the former come true didn't take too much, at least not as much as making the latter happen.

Céline was in her thirties when she tried to take motherhood on and according to The Talko, was surprised that she could not naturally conceive a child. After years of trying, Céline and her late husband René Angelil turned to specialists for help. She underwent several attempts at reproductive assistance before she finally bore her first son at the age of 33, René-Charles, who is now 19 years old.

We don't see many photos of her children as the 52-year-old singer has been known to keep her family out of the public eye as much as she can.

This was evident in her interview with talk show host James Corden for Carpool Karaoke. "I don't know what it must feel like to be as famous as you," said James. "I don't want to think about that," she replied. She repeated this sentiment about three times. Switching to a more serious tone, she divulges the details of what happened when she gave birth to her first child, René-Charles:

"I'm delivering my first child and I don't even have him in my arms yet, and I look to the left and there's a TV there and the doctor is announcing live on television, 'beautiful, healthy boy' you know, '7lbs, 8oz...' and I'm saying to myself: "My baby is on television, and I didn't even hold him yet." so I turned it off – I turned off the tv."

After several attempts at becoming pregnant for a second time, the superstar found out in 2009 that she was pregnant yet again and this time, with twins. Little Nelson and Eddy are fraternal twins, although they almost look as if they could be identical.

The twins were just five years old when their father passed away. While Céline's eldest son stood at the front of an entire assembly and spoke on behalf of his siblings and mother at the funeral, the younger children struggled to process such a profound loss. Discussing her romantic life in a 2019 interview, Céline said: “I don't date. I'm not ready to date. I'm very lucky and happy to have so many people in my surrounding ... they make me laugh.”

Surrounding ourselves with people that make us laugh makes life easier and Céline reminds us of that. Have you ever seen Céline in concert? If you have, tell us what it was like in the comments and be sure to pass this story along to all the Céline Dion fans in your life.
