Celine Dion Encourages Fans To Stay Home Amid COVID-19 Pandemic With A Titanic Reference

Like many celebrities, Celine Dion recently took to social media to urge her fans to practice social distancing during the current COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Canadian singer had a special way of asking her followers to stay home as she encouraged them with a reference to her successful 1997 hit “My Heart Will Go On” that had been the love theme of the Oscar-winning movie Titanic. 

In her post, Dion shared a short excerpt from the song’s music video that shows her in a Titanic setting. Along with the throwback video, the 52-year-old singer shared some of the original song’s lyrics which she had slightly altered to reflect the current necessity of social distancing.

The new lyrics that she shared in English and French now encourage people to stay home in order to stop the coronavirus from spreading any further:

"Near, far wherever you are... make sure you're practicing social distancing!"

Fans reacted more than positive towards Dion’s post as they were happy to see her take action by encouraging people to practice social distancing. Therefore many followers thanked the singer in the comments, with one saying, "Thank you for being active on Social Media during this difficult times […]." Meanwhile, another commenter wrote, "In a good way lyrics changed based on situation 😷 Hit song of all time ❤️."
