Kevin Barnett
Barnett, a comedian, writer, and actor, was the co-creator and writer for the Fox show 'Rel.' Sadly, as stated on NBC on Jan 22, the 32-year-old died from complications from pancreatitis while on vacation in Mexico.

The creative genius behind Chanel passed away on Feb 19 at age 85.

Kristoff St. John
The 'Young and The Restless' actor died on Feb 3 at age 52 from a combination of heart disease and accidental alcohol overdose.

Nipsey Hussle
The rapper and community activist was shot outside his clothing store in Los Angeles on March 31 at age 33 as reported here on CNN.

John Singleton
The first African American and the youngest film director to receive an Academy Award nomination for 'Boyz n the Hood' passed away on April 29 due to a stroke. As reported in the New York Times, he was 51 years old.

James Ingram
On Jan 29 this year, Ingram passed away at age 66 due to brain cancer. He was a two-time Grammy Award-winner famous for 'One Hundred' and 'Yah Mo B There.'

Sadly, this actor is the youngest star to pass away this year. Boyce was known for his Disney shows such as The Descendants and will appear in the upcoming Paradise City. But on July 6, he died in his sleep from Epilepsy, as detailed on CNN News.

The soap opera star from 'General Hospital' and 'The Young and the Restless' passed away at the age of 88 reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Gary Rhodes
A frequent 'Masterchef' and 'Hell's Kitchen' guest, chef Gary Rhodes was a champion of British cuisine who died at the age of 59 according to The Guardian.
