Cats Refuse To Vacate Blender Box For Over 2 Weeks - So Owners Reach Out To Company

Jan 15, 2022 by apost team

Pet owners would do anything for their beloved animals. Making sure our furry friends are happy and taken care of is a priority, and sometimes that means going the extra mile. Jessica Gerson-Neeves and her wife Nikii Gerson-Neeves are so devoted to their three cats that they went as far as to reach out to the company Vitamix when the cats refused to vacate the box that their new blender was stuck inside.

Starting at the beginning, Jessica and Nikii had both been wanting to get a Vitamix blender for a while and they finally got one during a Black Friday sale. When the box arrived, Jessica set it down on the kitchen floor for a moment. As soon as the cats noticed the box, one of them immediately jumped on top and refused to get down. The cat owner said that at all times at least one of their three cats is sitting on top of the box.

Because Jessica and Nikii love their cats so much, they have refrained from shooing them off of the coveted box. After a couple of weeks went by with the cats still refusing to move from it, the owners began to wonder if they were ever going to get to use their new blender. In desperation, Jessica reached out to Vitamix on Facebook and asked if they could send her three more empty boxes. The number three was important because she needed one for each cat.

The message to Vitamix was posted on January 2, 2022, and already has 15,000 likes and 4,000 comments. Keep reading to learn more about this hilarious story.

Jessica shared her story on Facebook, in the hopes that Vitamix would respond. She wrote in her post:

“We are the devoted servants of a trio of cats who go by the names of Max; George, Destroyer of Worlds; and Lando Calrissian. Mere seconds after setting down the Vitamix box, in the moments before we would’ve opened it and happily put our exciting new blender to use, Max (also known as the sentient soccer ball) spotted the box and, assuming it was for him, hopped right up on top. And that was the beginning of the end.”

The cat owner added: “That moment was two and a half weeks ago, and since then, the Vitamix box has been occupied by at least one and sometimes two cats at all times. With three cats and only two humans in the household, the humans are outnumbered and (being giant suckers), both frightened of and unwilling to forcibly relocate the offending cats. Yes, we realize we’re absolute madwomen, and yes, we are both ashamed and sorry.”

Jessica made it clear she wasn’t trying to get free products. She said, “No, we’re writing with a stranger but far less expensive request. Is there—I cannot believe I am honestly asking this—any possibility at all that y’all would be willing to send us three (the number is very important, as there are three cats and we need there to be one extra so we can hopefully get the actual blender out of the box) empty Vitamix boxes?”

Vitamix shared Jessica and Nikki’s story on their Facebook page and it seems that they did in fact send the boxes!
