Cats Are So In Love With Their Rabbit Brother They Insist On Staying In His Cage

Cats are well known for not getting along with dogs, but they can be friends with other domestic animals. A great example of this is Beau the rabbit who has three cat siblings. All four pets are so close that they even stay together in the rabbit's cage.

In their natural habitats, cats and rabbits are seldom friends. The cat would be a predator and the rabbit the prey. According to pet mom, Scarlett Darby, who owns all four of the animals in question, "introducing them at a young age in a calm environment has really helped with their relationships." So, if done in the right way, it is possible to introduce cats and rabbits into the same family, especially when they are both young.

Beau, a lop bunny, was actually the first pet that Scarlett Darby brought home. “When I first met Beau, he basically chose me to be his owner, he was so beautiful and had such a great personality and followed me around until I adopted him,” she told The Dodo.

Once Beau was settled at home, the family decided they would like to adopt more pets. This time they chose cats. Ninji the cat and Beau adjusted very quickly to the new house environment and to each other! They became instant friends. Amazingly, when the other cats moved in, they all continued to get along with each other.

Beau and his three cat siblings, Ninji, Nibbler, and Lola, are truly the best of friends. They nap together, eat together, play together, and even chill out in Beau's cage together.

Scarlett and her fiancé Alex have been very lucky with their pets. Scarlett said, "All four of our gorgeous pets are so loving and affectionate. I’m so glad they are all a part of our family." Humans are so fortunate to have such good friends in animals as they can bring so much joy.
