Cats have a bad reputation that is entirely unfair. People call cats little overlords and sociopaths. As this particular cat shows, felines can be remarkably sweet and caring.

Sir Whine-A-Lot Joins the Family

Back in 2015, Stuart McDaniel decided to find an office cat. He was the owner of a marketing firm known as GuRuStu.

After visiting the Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter, Stuart ended up adopting a small kitten called Sir Whine-a-lot. In a matter of days, the cat became a part of the family.

For two years, Sir Whine-a-lot seemed like a typical cat. Then, something odd started to happen.

When Stuart arrived at work each morning, he found a bunch of dollar bills on the floor. They were placed just next to the office's glass door. Stuart could not understand what was happening.

Before long, Stuart started to figure out what was going on. He noticed Sir Whine-a-lot playing with the bills by the front door. Soon, he discovered Sir Whine-a-lot's odd pastime.

One Cat Gives Money to Charity

The office was placed within Tulsa's busy East Village neighborhood. Since there are a lot of bars and restaurants in the neighborhood, people are constantly walking by the office.

Apparently, Sir Whine-a-lot was bored and standing near the front door. A passerby noticed the cat and slipped a dollar bill through a crack in the door. Sir Whine-a-lot must have grabbed the money and played with it.

Stuart decided to see if his theory actually worked. He slipped a dollar bill through the crack, and Sir Whine-a-lot immediately grabbed it. The mystery was solved.

Other people noticed the cute cat. Before long, Sir Whine-a-lot was becoming quite rich. Stuart started calling his cat by the nickname of Cashnip Kitty.

A news channel heard about the funny cat and came to investigate.

Stuart told the reporter that the money was going to be donated to the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless.

They could not stop the cat from taking money, but they could give that money to a good cause.

Once the news segment went on the air, everyone wanted to play with the Cashnip Kitty. In just the first weekend after the segment, the cat raised $110 for homeless people in Tulsa.

In the last year, the cat has raised more than $4,500 for the homeless. On Facebook, the Tulsa Day Center thanked the funny feline for all of his help.
