Cat Is Distraught After Losing Her Kittens Until She Finds A Litter Of Puppies To Take Care Of

A parent losing a child is difficult - even if that child isn't a human being. One cat was grieving herself almost to death after the loss of her litter of kittens, but that was when a miracle happened. She was given a litter of puppies to adopt.
It all started when a beautiful, yellow cat was discovered in an abandoned apartment with a litter of kittens. Unsure why they had been left or for how long, the new tenants were determined to do everything in their power to save the feline family. Naming the cat “Kathryn,” they took the entire cat family to the vet where they hoped for the best but feared the worst.
While Kathryn was able to recover with the right treatment, the tiny kittens were simply too far gone. They had been dehydrated after being abandoned and their was mother unable to provide them with the nourishment they needed to survive. Despite the best efforts of the vet, the entire litter passed away. Kathryn was beside herself with grief. She simply sat in her cage and cried, wishing that she could be reunited with her babies.
Izelle Marallich, who is the chairperson of the vet clinic, was absolutely brokenhearted over this poor mama cat and her sad situation. She decided to take the cat home with her so that Kathryn wouldn’t have to stay alone in the vet clinic’s shelter area.

At Izelle’s home, Kathryn warmed up to her foster dogs and attempted to mother them, even though they were unsure about her attention. During the night, Kathryn slept at Izelle’s side, wrapped up against her body so that she could get some rest. The next morning, Kathryn went back to crying for her kittens, searching everywhere for them.
About the same time, the vet clinic became home to a litter of orphan puppies. These tiny babies were so upset that they were all alone in the world and their situation reminded Izelle somewhat of Kathryn’s pain. This was when the vet had a brilliant idea! Izelle took the puppies home with her so that they could meet Kathryn and see if she would be wiling to mother them.
As soon as Kathryn caught sight of the tiny puppies, she instantly fell in love! The childless mother rushed over to the tiny creatures, not caring that they weren’t even kittens. She wrapped her paws around them, giving them what looks like a hug!
Despite the puppies’ initial confusion, Kathryn wouldn’t give up. She continued to lick and care for them until they finally started viewing her as a mother. Kathryn even nursed the puppies! Soon, the group formed an unlikely family and Kathryn was happy again!
Sadly, the puppies began to want independence as they grew older. Kathryn wasn’t happy with this and tried to force them to stay with her, but it was a losing battle. Ultimately, the puppies found homes where they could thrive with new people and Kathryn was left alone.
Realizing that Kathryn was an excellent mother, Izelle decided to keep her on the work force and next brought in a group of orphaned kittens. Sure enough, Kathryn took to them as well and is currently helping them develop into strong cats.
