In an incredible story, a woman who adopted a cat that was born in 1988 recently had the pleasure of throwing her kitty a 30th birthday party! The typical maximum lifespan for a housecat is around 16 years.

However, this little kitty has lived a miraculous 30 years and is still going strong.

The oldest cat on record lived to celebrate nearly 40 years with his owner. His name was Crème Puff and he passed away in 2005 at the age of 38. He currently holds the record in The Guinness Book of World Records.

Rubble celebrated his 30th birthday in style! The cat looks incredible for being 30 years of age and owner, Michele Foster, is thrilled to still have her furry friend by her side 30 years after he was born.

Rubble is an adorable orange-and-white kitty who was adopted by Michele in May of 1988. Rubble was just a month old when he was adopted. Michele’s sister’s friend happened to have a litter of cats born in April of 1988.

Michele, who lives in the UK, was living alone for the first time. She saw the litter of cats and immediately fell in love with Rubble. She did not want to live alone and says that since adopting Rubble she has had a friend for life.

Michele says that Rubble has gotten a grumpy streak as he has aged, but still gives her the love and cuddles that he did in his younger years. Michele says that Rubble appreciates his alone time as he has grown and spends his days curled up, quietly enjoying his days.

Rubble does have the need to be medicated for high blood pressure but deals with it well. Michele says that the incredible care provided by Rubble’s veterinary team at City Vets have been a blessing to both her and Rubble.

The City Vets team have also fallen in love with Rubble and even sent him a birthday present. Part of the present was a free month of his medication, which Rubble surely didn’t love as much as he did the Felix treat pouches and Whiskas Catmilk that the veterinary team also included in Rubble’s gift.

Michele proudly treats Rubble like he was her kid and believes that her love and attentive care has helped keep him going strong. She holds fast to her belief that when you love and care for someone, no matter if it is a person or a furry friend, that love and dedication truly goes a long way.

Rubble has become an internet sensation. While many wonder if he may break the world record for cat age, Michele cares more about Rubble living out the rest of his life in peace, happiness and good health.

It is absolutely incredible how much joy pets can bring into our life. It’s always sad to see them go, but we cherish the memories they brought us over the years. How has your furry (or feathered) friend brought joy to your life throughout the years?
