Aside from Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks and many other country music legends, another artist that many would think of when someone says country music is Carrie Underwood.

Underwood stands out among other country music artists with her very distinctive high-register voice. In a review of one of her concerts, The Times Union described that "she'll let loose with an improbably long note that runs through more octaves than you knew existed."

Born on March 10, 1983, Underwood started her singing career when she was young, performing at her local church in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The singer finally skyrocketed to fame in 2005 following her win on the hit competition series "American Idol."

Following the show, Underwood went on to release a number of successful singles and albums while showcasing her incredible voice and vocal abilities. Some of her most well-known songs include "Before He Cheats," "All-American Girl" and "Jesus, Take The Wheel." Receiving plenty of awards and recognition, Underwood has gone on to become one of the most popular female country singers of all time.

Along with her success in the music industry, Underwood has also been living a very colorful family life in the countryside. She has been married for 12 years to Canadian-American National Hockey League player Mike Fisher. The couple has two kids, Isaiah, who is 8, and Jacob, who is already 4 years old.

Despite their busy and packed schedule, the couple still spends time together in raising their small family. In a video posted on Fisher’s Instagram account in August 2020, the internet became enamored by the way their youngest kid, Jacob, enjoyed the great outdoors as he played with their pet dog and his ATV. Despite their bustling careers, Underwood and Fisher have always made time for each other and for their family. The couple has two children together. They welcomed their first child, Isaiah Michael, in 2015 and their second child, Jacob Bryan, in 2019.

According to Hello! Magazine, the couple lives on a 400-acre farm in Tennessee. Their home has several bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms and a basement. Their room has its own walk-in closet with floor-to-ceiling wardrobes. The property also has private horse stables and a lake.

The country music singer has also shared pictures of herself doing chores, such as one on Facebook where she could be seen doing laundry. As a small-town girl, it only seems fitting that Underwood has found joy in doing household chores and spending plenty of quality time with her loved ones.

Aside from doing household chores, Underwood is also someone who enjoys gardening. Her garden, described as her “happy place,” is filled with seasonal fruits and vegetables, including mushrooms, zucchinis, squash blossoms, berries, watermelons, and tomatoes – further proof that the singer is a certified small-town country girl.

When she is not getting her hands dirty, Underwood returns to her other home – the stage. Although she is in her element, she never forgets to acknowledge and cherish her family.

In September 2019, Underwood posted a heartwarming photograph on her Instagram of her family proudly watching her concert.

“One of my favorite things about the #CryPrettyTour360 is having my family out on the road with me. I just hope I’m making my boys proud of their mama ❤️ #blessed #boymom #Wichita,” she wrote in the caption.

Unbeknownst to many, Underwood suffered three miscarriages before Jacob came into their life, as revealed in their documentary, “Mike and Carrie: God & Country.”

"It sounds wrong when you say it, but, it's one of those 'bad things that happen to other people,' you know what I mean?" she tearily explained. "It's not something that you ever envision yourself having to deal with."

As Underwood recalled, she was confused when her husband came and assured her that they would have another baby. Fisher, on the other hand, admitted that it was through his communication with God that revealed to him that their next child will be named Jacob.

Despite the losses, the couple was "forever changed" when Jacob came into the world.

“Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday...his mom, dad, and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle!” Underwood wrote on Instagram.

In a video posted on Fisher’s Instagram account, Jacob, who was 1 back then, was playing in their backyard with a kids’ ATV mobile as their dog jumped happily beside him.

As he pumped on the pedal, the motion of the bike seemed to make him feel giddy – joyful enough to let out a burst of infectious laughter that would probably make anyone's day bright.

The comment section is packed with praises and thoughts of affirmation on how young Jacob’s laughter made them feel good.

“Omg that laugh, so precious!! Absolutely adorable ❤️,” a fan commented.

“The most beautiful sound in the world a babys laugh🙏🏻😘,” another wrote.

“His laugh is so contagious and innocent. Enjoy every moment!” someone echoed.
