The show “American Idol” has been a household name for decades, ever since the first episode aired on June 11th, 2002. When the show finally ended their 16-season run, they decided to have performances from many of their famous alumni. We saw Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Kara DioGuardi and even Jennifer Hudson on stage for a final song.

But who would actually be named the most successful of the bunch? We believed it would be either Kelly or Carrie. But which one?

The two megastars don’t particularly get into that debate the way we do. They know they are stars and they don’t need to be in competition! But we wanted to know and we finally heard it straight from the source that Carrie Underwood is definitely the most successful of all of the Idols of the show. Underwood won in season four.

Not everyone even caught the declaration as it could easily have been missed by those watching. At the beginning of the show Ryan Seacrest, the host, told the audience there and at home that Carrie Underwood was there to be a mentor for the Top Five. He told those viewing that they were proud to “have the most successful Idol in the show’s history” back on their stage tonight and then referenced Carrie Underwood.

And just like that, we knew!

Underwood first helped some of the contestants on the show sing a certain song out of her catalog. She helped Cade Foehner, Maddie Poppe, Gabby Barrett, Michael J. Woodard and Caleb Lee Hutchinson before singing her own latest hit, “Cry Pretty.”

You can see her beautiful performance below!

We knew that Carrie Underwood was a major superstar all along and deserved the title of number one! What do you think? Show this video to your friends and family and let us know your thoughts!
