Carrie Underwood, one of the participants, gave an unforgettable performance that is still being talked about in the music scene. The concert aired February 17 on NBC as fans tuned in from around the country. The Elvis All-Star Tribute was inspired by the 1968 concert that served a similar purpose for honoring the late performer. The concert featured a star-studded line up including Jennifer Lopez, Josh Groban, Ed Sheeran, Adam Lambert, Alessia Cara, Yolanda Adams, Shawn Mendes, John Fogerty, and Post Malone. Darius Rucker, Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, and Pistol Annies were some of the big names from the country genre that performed at the concert.

Carrie Underwood stood underneath a lone spotlight in a black dress and matching stilettos. She sang a unique rendition of "How Great Thou Art" and impressed everyone in attendance. This was not the first time that Underwood surprised an audience with her ability to sing Gospel music. In 2011, she performed the same song with Vince Gill and stole the crowd.
