During his time at the Carol Burnett show, which was on the air from 1967 to 1978, Conway received four Emmy awards. His fellow cast mates included Harvey Korman, Lyle Waggoner, and Vicki Lawrence. Conway was a recurring guest on the show until 1975 when he was invited back as a permanent member.

Kelly Conway, Conway’s daughter, also gave Fox News a statement on the death of her father.

“It is with the greatest sorrow that my brothers Tim, Patrick, Jamie, Corey, Seann, and I announce that our dad, Tim Conway, has passed away. The love he gave us, and the laughter he gave the world will never be replaced, but will be remembered forever,” she said. “He is at peace now but I will miss him every second of every day until we meet again in heaven. We knew he would have to leave us someday, but that day came too soon. I want to thank everyone for their prayers, love and support over the past year or so.”
