Camera Records Heartwarming Moment Lost Dog Is Reunited With Family

Dora the dog had gone missing on July 4th, 2012, when she jumped the fence of her family's yard. She was frightened by the fireworks and had tried to escape the loud noises. When weeks of searching for the pup remained unsuccessful, Dora's family started to lose hope, but 7 months later, in February 2013, she was found by an animal shelter who had scanned her microchip and the reunion is extremely heartwarming.

Dora the dog executed her unplanned escape on the date of July 4th. The fireworks in her neighborhood in Frisco, Texas had scared her so badly that she decided to take off. Her family searched every corner of the neighborhood for their furry friend relentlessly, leaving no cranny unsearched. Their search continued for weeks until the owners began to despair that they would never see their beloved pet again.

While finding her seemed very unlikely, they did not give up. 7 months after the incident, Dora was found nearly over 10 miles away from home. She was found and recognized on the streets by Collin County Animal Services who had scanned her microchip. Dora was found in Mckinney, Texas, a long while away from her home.

When Dora's family arrived at the shelter to collect her, they were almost nervous, not knowing how to properly react at the news of finding her again. Their worries were immediately squelched when Dora immediately recognized them and ran playfully towards them. She was happy to be at home with her family after such a long time away.

This moment was amazing and very heartwarming. The embrace of Dora and her owner is so tender and full of affection. Luckily, the moment was captured on film as the two are locked in a tender hug.
