JC's cafe is located in Cary, Illinois. The cafe serves up a highly sought after homemade vegan soup each day to customers. Owner Juan Carlos Beristain serves the soup to his hungry customers each day and adds a smile to each order.

39-year-old Noah Dionesotes lives not too far from JC's cafe. According to KDVR Denver, Noah was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He is also undergoing chemotherapy and has a broken leg. He uses a wheelchair to get around and on most days is seen by a doctor.

Like many Cary residents, Noah enjoys the vegan soups served at JC's. However, it is problematic at this time in his life to get to JC's and enjoy a bowl. On some days, his mother is able to juggle her own responsibilities and still find a way to bring Noah a bowl of the soup. However, she was not able to do so enough for her son to get his fill of the soup.

Juan Carlos was browsing Facebook in 2018 when he saw the story of Noah and the medical challenges he endures. He also learned that Noah loved the soup served at JC's.

One day soon after, Noah heard an unexpected knock at the door. He couldn't believe his eyes when he went to the door to answer the knock. There was Juan Carlos, the owner of JC's standing on the porch. And he was holding multiple cups of his freshly made homemade soup.

Juan Carlos told Noah the soup was on the house. He also promised to bring him more soup soon. Noah appreciated the kind gesture but figured it would be the last time he saw Juan Carlos.

As you will see in the video, Noah's assessment of the situation was completely wrong. And he was wrong in the best way possible.

Not only did the owner of JC's return with more soup a few days later but Juan Carlos has returned to Noah's home with soup several days a week for a complete year.

Juan Carlos says his father was the kindest man he ever met. His father, the restaurant owner explains, went out of his way to help everyone he encountered. Juan Carlos says he has always tried to behave as his father did.
