Apr 27, 2020 by apost team

This recipe is perfect for mushroom lovers and beginners alike. The easy, delicious recipe only takes minutes to prepare savory, buttery, garlic mushrooms. While they can be eaten alone as a side dish, they also pair perfectly with steak, mashed potatoes, or even hamburgers. With basic and straightforward ingredients, this recipe calls for what can easily be found at any grocery store.

Ingredients

This recipe only requires a few simple ingredients:

  • Mushrooms
  • Unsalted Butter (using unsalted allows you to control the amount of salt in the dish)
  • Olive Oil (a small amount of olive oil allows the mushrooms to get nice and crispy on the outside without burning the butter)
  • Garlic (fresh and crushed)
  • Herbs (parsley and thyme go well with the mushrooms, but oregano, rosemary and/or basil also pair well)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)

  • Optional:
  • Dry White Wine (if you've never tried cooking with wine, you won't regret trying it out for the first time with these mushrooms)
  • Onion (green, white, red, or yellow onions all can enhance the flavor of the dish)

Directions

Firstly, melt the butter and then add the olive oil to a pan. Then, add the crushed garlic (and onions if you are using them). Sauteé.

Next, add the mushrooms and start tossing them gently.

Continue to toss the mushrooms and add the dry herbs. Now is also the time to add the white wine if you are using it.

Once the mushrooms are crispy and cooked through, all is done; time to plate and enjoy!
