On one of his first missionary trips with his mother and father, Tim went to a remote island to help out the poor. He met Sherwin, a Filipino boy who had been born with a very unusual leg deformity.

Tim was shocked to see how difficult life had been for the young boy. However, he was also very inspired. Because of Sherwin, Tim founded the Tim Tebow Foundation. This organization exists to help others who desperately need medical aid and care.

In 2018, Aldrin, an 11-year-old boy, came into the Tebow CURE Hospital. This hospital, located in the Philippines, sees many patients who need medical care they cannot otherwise afford. Aldrin had a leg deformity that reminded Tim of the one Sherwin had when he was younger. When Tim took a look at Aldrin’s photograph he was shocked by the boy’s heartbreaking story.

Aldrin knees were bent in the opposite direction due to a congenital knee dislocation he was born with. He basically had legs “like a flamingo.” He was unable to stand up and was in constant pain. Because of his unusual appearance, Aldrin was also bullied relentlessly, to the point where Aldrin was in despair over his life.

Tim knew he had to do something for Aldrin.

The hospital team began to put together a plan for the young man who so desperately needed their help.

Aldrin underwent an amazing transformation that will definitely shock you. His surgery took four hours to complete, but it was worth it in the end. No one thought his transformation could even be possible, but due to Tim and the medical staff, it was 100% successful.
