Bulldog Jumps In Father's Arms For Slow Dance

Aug 06, 2020 by apost team

Bulldogs are not well-known for their overtly friendly attitude. In fact, the bulldog breed can be considered a bit grumpy, at times. Whether it is their characteristic frowning face or a multitude of extra skin and wrinkles, bulldogs just don't appear to be a very friendly breed.

Despite their permanently grumpy face, the bulldog in this video is obviously head over heels for her owner. Even through the wrinkles and consistent frowns, the love that this bulldog has for her owner is evident in her mannerisms, as displayed when she jumped in her owner's arms for a slow dance.

Shall We Dance?

When this bulldog's owner puts on Elton John's famous hit Something About the Way You Look Tonight, this pooch comes running full-force and leaps into her owner's arms. Sticking one paw out for dad to grab, it is obvious this dog knows exactly what is going on in this situation.

As the owner picks this friendly canine up, she quickly makes herself at home on his shoulder. The love these two have for each other radiates as the video continues on.

A Loving Embrace and Slow Waltz

As the music continues to play, the bulldog named Penny stays completely still. Her owner turns round and round to the beat of the music, and still, yet, Penny stays in the moment. Embracing her humans, this English Bulldog undoubtedly enjoys the connection she and her owner share.

Even during this humanistic dance, Penny takes it all in as a form of affection. The look on this bulldog's face is pure love and enjoyment, even as her human holds her upright while dancing.

Dad Leads, but Penny Follows

While you might think this dog is simply an unsuspecting partner in this dance routine, it seems that Penny has a few moves of her own. As the music heightens, Penny leans her head back for Dad to dip her in a momentous move.

Professional dancers on So You Think You Can Dance don't stand a chance against this dad and dog duo. Dad and dog dance time has never been cuter.

An Undeniable Connection

In order for a dog to feel comfortable enough for a human to pick them up this way, a trusting relationship has to be in place. While some dogs like to be picked up, the demeanor of the bulldog breed doesn't typically facilitate this type of confidence in other humans or animals.

Yet, this dad managed to make his English Bulldog feel so confident in him that she dances with enjoyment in her owner's arms.
