A video and pictures of a fully grown elephant lifting his heavy limbs to get to the other side of a wall for mangoes are available for viewing. With the grace of an animal that size, the elephant gets to the mango tree. Nothing was going to stop this big guy because, you know how it is, sometimes you just have to satisfy your craving.

Ian Salisbury, a manager at the Mfuwe Lodge located at the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia, told The Daily Mail he saw an elephant step down over a wall to eat some grass. Then he saw it climb back up and over another wall that separated the animal from a mango tree.

Considering the elephant’s midlife age and its enormous size, Ian was amazed by how nimble the elephant was. He figured it wound up at the lodge in an effort to find food and stay away from floods.

None of the lodge managers had ever seen the elephant before, and it was unusual that it took the route that it did since elephants that regularly go there travel on a path made of stones. It was curious, and it wanted to get to the mango tree, Ian explained.

Ian took pictures of the hungry elephant, and the owner of the camp the animal visited created a video of him. The Bushcamp Company’s owner is Andy Hogg. It was unfortunate that they didn’t catch the elephant eating any mangoes because mangoes weren’t in season at the time.

Since it tried so hard, it was disheartening to know that the elephant didn’t get what it wanted. The people at the lodge who saw it go over the tall wall that day were astonished to see it put forth that much effort, said Mr. Salisbury. He also said climbing tall heights is not something elephants commonly do.
