As a child, nearly everyone spent some time building forts and castles with Lego bricks. You would create amazing structures that could never be used or lived in. What if you could actually use the Lego creations that you made?

A Lego Car That Actually Drives

Recently, one amazing Lego creation has gotten a lot of attention. Recently, a team at Lego has actually built a working version of the world's fastest car. It took more than one million Lego bricks to create the car. Plus, they added 2,300 toy motors to create a Lego version of the Bugatti Chiron.

The car looks unbelievably amazing and realistic, but that is not the best part about this creation. It turns out that the vehicle can actually drive. If you look at side-by-side photos of the Lego Chiron and the real one, they look almost completely the same. There are just a few tiny differences.

The new Lego replica used a steel frame to support all of the weight. The rest of the car is made completely out of Lego Technic and Lego pars. This vehicle might be made of Lego bricks, but it can actually take you on the open roads. It can hit 18 miles per hour. While it only has 5.3 horsepower, it looks pretty amazing as it cruises around town.

The real Bugatti Chiron can reach 261 miles per hour. It has an impressive 1,470 horsepower, so it is definitely an upgrade from the Lego replica. The real one costs $3 million, so the Lego replica could actually be a cheaper alternative.

How It Was Made

The engineers at the Lego garage used existing Lego parts, but they needed to make new ones as well. The team had to develop 56 new pieces to make this vehicle. In total, they spent 13,400 hours to build this vehicle. They started building it last September, so it has been quite a project for the Lego team.

Now, the replica can seat two passengers. It was made by the engineers and designers from the Czech Republic's Kladno factory. These engineers previously made the news for the models that they created for Legoland parks and Lego stores.

If you love looking at this car, you can actually see it in person. The vehicle was officially launched at the 2018 Italian Grand Prix. Lego Technic has also released a 1:8 scale model so that Lego lovers everywhere can enjoy this Bugatti vehicle. It looks just like the iconic car, but it is small enough to fit inside of your home.

This Lego design deserves to be seen. Make sure your friends and family know about the latest innovations in Lego bricks.
