This strong definition creates varying opinions around the subject of miracles. Some people believe that they can occur, while others simply deny their existence outright.

The Bible and other holy books are full of stories referencing miracles and divine intervention. People in the 21st century often feel disconnected from these events, as they happened centuries in the past. A miracle is not something usually expected to happen in modern times.

Morgan Freeman is famous for playing God in several different movies. In fact, this role has become his most famous. There are entire memes that have been made associating Morgan Freeman with God.

Many people joke about Freeman's voice being the voice of God. Despite his role as a divine being, Morgan Freeman still seeks out advice on personal development.

Recently, Morgan Freeman was visiting a Buddhist monastery. While discussing with one of the monks living in the area, Freeman asked about miracles. He specifically asked if the monk had performed any miracles in the past. The monk's response took Freeman by surprise and transformed the way he saw miracles.

The Buddhist monk answered by saying that there are three true miracles in the world. They are healing, love and reconciliation.

He told Freeman that levitating three inches off of the ground during meditation is not what the world needs. Even the most magical events don't always make the world a better place.

Healing, love, reconciliation and other positive forces in the world are the true miracles. These forces have the ability to transform the human mind and create peace in the world. If everyone waits around for miracles to happen, then nothing will ever improve.

The Buddhist monk was describing how each person has the ability to improve the world.

Perhaps there is suffering in the world because people don't perform their own miracles. More healing, love, and reconciliation will lead to more peace. The ability to perform these miracles stretches beyond borders, religions, and languages.

As Morgan Freeman has said, humans are capable of more than they can imagine.
