A Successful Life

As an established actor, Willis has shown his strengths as an actor, appearing in a variety of films and television shows. Some of his most popular films include "Pulp Fiction," "Armageddon," "The Sixth Sense," "Looper" and the "Die Hard" franchise.

As John McClane, Willis shaped the image of the American action hero. The dirty undershirt he wore as the character actually turned into a piece of cultural property and can now be seen in the National Museum of American History.

However, not everyone is a fan of the action star. According to Paste Magazine, the Razzie Awards – an award show dedicated to the worst films of the year – announced that the 42nd awards show would have a new category: "Worst Performance by Bruce Willis in a 2021 Movie." Some of Willis' films from that year include "American Seige and "Survive the Game."

In his private life, Willis has had some ups and downs when it comes to finding love. He married two times and is the father of five daughters. Willis first married actress Demi Moore in 1987, and the two had three daughters together: Rumer, Scout and Tallulah. Although the couple was regarded as a Hollywood powerhouse at the time, the marriage was not working out behind closed doors. Willis and Moore divorced in 2000, but they have remained good friends and great co-parents ever since.

In 2009, Willis married his second wife, model Emma Heming. Some of his wedding guests even included his ex-wife and her then-husband, Ashton Kutcher. To this day, Willis and Heming are still happily married and have two more daughters together, Mabel and Evelyn Penn.

Fame And Fortune

While many of his films brought him great fame and fortune, the "Die Hard" franchise is no doubt responsible for much of Willis' wealth. According to Celebrity Net Worth, he earned $5 million for the first movie, $7.5 million for the second, $15 million for the third and $25 million for the fourth.

Willis has also been sure to be financially smart with his money and has invested in properties. Back in 2007, the New York Observer reported that Eugenia Kaye sold her Trump Place apartment to Willis for $4.26 million. Willis had purchased the home as the trustee of The Bruce Willis Family Trust and took out a $3.408 million mortgage, paying the rest in cash.

In 2013, Willis listed his home in Turks and Caicos for sale for a whopping $33 million, according to CNBC. The actor had previously purchased the grounds in 2000 and finished constructing the home in 2004.

According to The Numbers, the actor is on rank 15 of the highest-grossing actors in a leading role as films featuring him grossed about $5 billion worldwide. It's easy to see how Willis has such a great fortune based on all of his past experiences at the box office and in business. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Willis has an estimated net worth of $250 million.

It's evident that Willis is a well-known icon, but when asked what he is most famous for, Willis said, "Violence, laughter and 'Looper.'" Still, the actor admitted that he can't help but say his famous catchphrase from time to time: "Yippee ki yay!"
