Bruce Springsteen's Son Sam Is Now A Firefighter In New Jersey

Bruce Springsteen's son Sam was sworn in as a firefighter in Jersey City, New Jersey. The 26-year-old had worked at three other fire stations after graduating from Monmouth County Fire Academy in 2014. Sam's parents attended the ceremony where he was officially sworn in. 

"It was a long road, he's very dedicated, quite a few years and we are just excited for him today," said Bruce Springsteen WCBS. Sam along with 14 other firefighters were sworn in this past week. Sam told the news station that the training for becoming a fireighter was not easy.

According to a statement from Mayor Steven M. Fulop, the Jersey City Fire Department responds to 1,300 fires each year and has 666 firefighters. 

Bruce Springsteen is one of the world’s most influential rock stars who is very deserving of his 20 Grammys, Tony Award, Oscar, and 2 Golden Globes. He has been a headlining musician for decades and even has a Broadway show under his belt. The variety of soulful and soaring songs in their repertoire range from the introspective “Streets of Philadelphia” to the anthemic “Born in the U.S.A.” and “Thunder Road.” Many of their songs are considered to be imperative to the history of rock music.
