Bruce Springsteen Scores Top 10 Album For 20th Time On Billboard 200 Chart With 'Western Stars'

Bruce Springsteen is back in the top 10 for a whopping 20th time on the Billboard 200, with his new hit album Western Stars.

Nielsen Music reports that the set begins with 66,000 equivalent album units consumed in the US in the week of the 13/6 - 20/6, of which 62,000 were in album sales.

The Billboard 200 chart then ranks the most successful albums of the week based on both album and streaming consumption, which are measures through “equivalent album units”. Album units are a method of measuring the success of an artist by taking sold albums, track equivalent albums (TEA) and stream equivalent albums (SEA) into account.

The chart which is dated for June 29th will be posted tomorrow, June 25th to the Billboards website, on which Western is said to have placed second. 

Springsteen’s first time in the top 10 was in 1975 with his album Born to Run, which made a huge leap for no. 84 to 8 in its second week. Last time the Boss made top 10 was in 2016 with his retrospective compilation Chapter and Verse at no.5.
