Colin Thackery is a 92-year-old contestant on Britain's Got Talent. He is also the man that has completely stolen the hearts of fans all over the UK.

No one needed any more reason to love Britain's Got Talent winner Colin Thackery, but he's proven he has a heart of gold once again after announcing that he would be donating a portion of his £250,000 winnings to the Royal Chelsea Hospital.

Thackery spoke to This Morning in a recent interview about what he's planning to spend the money on.

"Well first of all the hospital, because we are a charity and we are always collecting for something," said Colin. "We've got a new center that we've been wanting to build, a visitors center, activity center. I'd love to think that I set the whole thing off."

But what about the rest of the money? Thackery stated that he plans to help out his own family, too.

"I've got family. I've got grandchildren wanting to get on the property ladder and all that sort of thing and of course A-Levels and all that."

Even before hearing about his latest act of kindness, many had already designated the singing sensation as a national treasure.

The national treasure status was given to Thackery following his semi-final performance in which he delivered a heartbreaking performance.

The song performed by Thackery was a tribute to the war hero's own sweetheart as well as the sweethearts of his backup vocalists, the Chelsea Pensioners. The song choice was Vera Lynn's 'We'll Meet Again' and it provided an 'Oh my God' moment that sent chills down the spines of audience members.

Once Colin was finished with the song he received a standing ovation and numerous praises from people who viewed the performance.

One person that showered Colin with praise is top judge Simon Cowell. Simon says Colin's brilliant performance reminds everyone of what life was like for his generation and the resiliency it took for them to still stand tall today.

Judge David Walliams said it would not surprise him to see Colin become the last man standing at the end of the season. And we're not surprised he ended up being correct!

He recently was named the winner of Britain's Got Talent, edging out Magician X in the live finale.
