Bride-To-Be Borrows Friend’s Manicured Hand For Engagement Photo Because She Hadn’t Done Her Nails

We all know stories like this from various social media sites: The girl gets engaged and flashes the ring right away for a nice engagement picture. After all, who wouldn’t want to show off their beautiful new jewelry while bragging about their wonderful news?

However, it isn’t always that easy to show off your jewelry in an appropriate manner, especially when you were not expecting to get any at all. Maybe you went out with your significant other for dinner like usual. You throw on something nice and grab a pair of shoes that match. You throw a few things in your purse and grab a light jacket in case it gets cold.

You’re all ready to go when you notice your hands. You haven’t had the time to get a manicure, and the nail polish is all chipped and scratched. It looks as if you haven’t taken care of your nails in weeks. But you certainly don’t have the time now! So you run out the door without a second thought.
Dinner is going wonderfully. You’re talking and laughing as you munch on appetizers. As your boyfriend signals for another bottle of wine, he starts to get down on one knee. This is it! You are finally getting engaged to the man you love. You have been dreaming about this night for most of your adult life, and it couldn’t have gone any better.
But as he slides the ring on your finger, you can’t help but notice that your hands look a mess next to your shiny new bling. You want to take a picture, but you know everyone will focus on the chipped nail polish instead of the gorgeous engagement ring you just got. So what can you do?
The newly engaged woman in this photo had a great idea! She would pose for the picture while using the hand of her cousin to show off the ring.
If we zoom out a little bit, it all becomes clear. There is the cousin in question. What a good relative she is, and what beautiful nails! She revealed the secret behind the great engagement photo in a Twitter post.
What a funny ending to a wonderful story. We wish the pair nothing but the best of luck!
