For some people, their families are their closest friends. They will always be there with a tender word of encouragement when things get rough. Sometimes we'd do anything for a family member if it meant giving them a little peace and comfort. Tara Foley did this for her 102-year-old grandmother.

As Tara told it to PEOPLE, her grandmother Stasia was moved to hospice care and was not going to make it to Tara's wedding. This left Tara heartbroken. One of Stasia's last wishes was to make it to her granddaughter's big day, but, given her condition, it just wasn't possible.

Tara decided to make her grandmother's wish come true anyway, and she did it in a truly unconventional way. Tara flew to Fort Myers to visit the hospice where her grandmother was living.

She lied to her family about what she was doing. She had told her parents she was going on a work trip with her fiancé. She told her aunt and uncle that she was visiting Stasia to record part of a legacy video.

A few days later, her Nana was told she had a visitor. When Tara arrived, Stasia said that she almost knew it would be her. So Tara put on her wedding dress and did a beautiful photo shoot with her grandmother.

You can see the special connection that the grandmother and granddaughter share in these pictures. They look at each other with such warmth, tenderness, and even a little bit of humor. Both of them definitely got chocked up. Even the photographer, who had taken many wedding photographs before, got a little teary-eyed as she captured this special moment, according to PEOPLE.

It was the last time that Tara saw her grandmother. Stasia passed away just 27 days after the photos were taken.

Tara kept the photos a secret from her family until her wedding day. Most of them at first couldn't even believe the pictures were real. Tara gave such an amazing gift to herself and the rest of the family. They will treasure this memory of their Nana forever.
