Bride Joins Cowboy At Altar, But Everyone Stares In Amazement At Her From The Waist Down

Many women have been dreaming about walking down the aisle on their wedding day since childhood, but this seemed like an impossible dream for Gina Springhower. Gina was in a horrible car accident when she was only 21-years-old, and this accident left her unable to walk.

The Tragedy of Her Car Accident

The vehicle that Gina was riding in flipped over several times before coming to a stop. This motion forced Gina to be ejected through the vehicle’s window. While she miraculously did not have any scratches from the accident, her back bent in a very severe way and resulted in paralysis from the waist down.

Before the car accident, Gina had a promising future. While she was already the owner of her own gymnastics tumbling school, she also was a successful college student. The severity of this accident left Gina physically and emotionally traumatized, but she did not let her injuries stop her from moving forward with life.

A Miraculous Recovery

Gina has always had a can-do attitude. Rather than letting life’s little hurdles slow her down, she learned long ago to face her challenges. She set a goal of getting back to full health so that she could continue her career as a tumbling and gymnastics coach. She spent many long months in intensive rehab, making very slow progress. While this minimal progress may have deterred many other people, Gina remained focused on her goals.

Despite her efforts, she remained in a wheelchair for several years. Eventually, she fell in love with and was engaged to a cowboy. Prior to her wedding day, friends and family had not seen Gina take even a single step since the accident. She had been confined to a wheelchair. However, Gina had been working hard at rehab and therapy. Through her efforts and with the help of special braces, she surprised her wedding guests by walking down the aisle.
