Planning a wedding is one of life's greatest joys. All brides are looking for details that make their wedding something special and memorable. One of biggest decisions any bride needs to make is what to wear on her wedding day. She wants a dress that expresses her personality and makes her wedding dreams come true.

Finding the right dress is an experience not to be missed. Brides want a bridal shop that welcomes them the second they begin the search. They want warm and welcoming staffers who care about them and can show them how to set off their best features to perfection. One bridal shop in the United Kingdom is taking it a step further. They are making it clear that all brides, of all backgrounds and abilities, are welcome to shop there.

Wheelchair users usually have to cope with unwanted attention every time they head out in public. Sometimes, people think those who use wheelchairs to get around may not be as capable of people who are more mobile. Two bridal shop owners have set out to help challenge such stereotypes. They want people to understand that people who are disabled share the same hopes and dreams as everyone else. The White Collection Bridal Boutique is located in Portishead, England. It's a beautiful place full of beautiful and wonderful dresses. Owned by Sarah and Laura, they are dedicated to making every bride look and feel totally special. To that end, they decided to create a window display that would show this off. It took Twitter user Beth Wilson to tell the world about their display.

Beth Wilson was delighted to see that the display in the shop featured a wheelchair user all decked out in white. She quickly grabbed her camera and took a lovely shot. In her Twitter feed, she wrote that this was the first time she'd ever personally seen a display in a shop window that featured a mannequin in a wheelchair. Her tweet quickly took off. The single photo of a bridal shop in the United Kingdom rapidly became an icon for people to share their own stories about being married while using a wheelchair.

Entering a bridal shop, people immediately see mannequins that look exactly alike. Everyone is clearly able-bodied, skinny and obviously divided into two sexes. Every single one looks as if the mannequin could immediately leave the floor on their own power and hit the dance floor.

The owners of the White Collection Bridal Boutique set out to change this perception. In the process, they hope they have begun to make a real difference in people's lives and the lives of those who rely on the use of wheelchairs to get around. Dozens of people who use wheelchairs suddenly felt even more free to show off pictures of themselves in their wedding finery on their big day. Pictures of happy women getting married flooded Beth Wilson's twitter feed, reminding people that people with disabilities deserve to be seen just like everyone else: worthy of love.

The White Collection Bridal Boutique opened in October of 2018. Even in such a short period of time, one thing is obvious. That is that the bridal owners have already begun to make a splash locally with their thoughtful attention to detail and love of what they do. It's also obvious that they welcome everyone who enters their doors even on wheels.

Let us know what you think about this wheelchair-using mannequin! If you have a disability or you know someone who uses a wheelchair for mobility issues, let them know about this fabulous and completely inclusive a bridal shop in the United Kingdom. You'll make their day even better.
