At one point during his career, Brendan Fraser was on top of the world, starring in movie after movie. Some of his most notable roles included portraying Rick O'Connell in "The Mummy" trilogy, as well as leading roles in "George of the Jungle" and "Journey to the Center of the Earth." After taking a hiatus from acting in films, he moved to television and was met with a new wave of fans. "The Affair" and "Texas Rising" were some of his most famous roles. Recently, Fraser had been working on the action series "Doom Patrol" from 2019 until 2021.

Fraser has continued to work hard in the acting industry and even has a new project in the works. He is set to make his return to film acting in the upcoming Martin Scorsese movie, "Killers of the Flower Moon."

Along with being excited to film alongside acclaimed actors in a well-directed movie, Fraser has expressed his excitement to return to acting in a major film. While many fans have been long awaiting the actor's return to the big screen, they have feverishly made their feelings of happiness and excitement known on various social media platforms.

While holding a virtual meet and greet in August 2021 with a fan from TikTok, Fraser was left overwhelmed with emotions. Throughout his career, Fraser has starred in a plethora of movies and television shows. In 1991, he made his film debut as a sailor in "Dogfight," followed by his first leading role in "Encino Man" the following year.

In 1997, Fraser landed himself the starring role of "George of the Jungle," which became his first major box office hit. The movie centered around a young adult male who had been raised in the jungle, similar to Tarzan. After auditioning for the leading role of "Tarzan," Fraser had failed to be cast, but he went on to star in a similar role thanks to landing the role of George in "George of the Jungle."

In 1999, Fraser finally found commercial success with the adventure fantasy film "The Mummy." Despite mixed reviews from critics, the film was a box office success and well-loved by many fans. Fraser reprised his leading role as Rick O'Connell in the sequel films. After taking a break from acting in movies, Fraser moved to the smaller screen, appearing on numerous television shows. He was featured in five "Texas Rising" episodes in 2015, followed by six episodes of "The Affair" across 2016 and 2017.

After the show "Doom Patrol" came to an end in 2021, it was finally time for Fraser to return to the big screen. Fraser is set to appear in the 2022 film "Killers of the Flower Moon," a Western crime drama. Directed by Scorsese, the film has a wide array of talented actors and actresses, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone and Jesse Plemons, as per The Independent.

During a virtual meet and greet in August 2021, Fraser had a sweet conversation with a fan who let him know what a huge support base he had. TikTok user @LittleLottieCosplay shared the video of her interaction with Fraser on the social media platform, where the two excitedly talked about Fraser's forthcoming appearance in the film "Killers of the Flower Moon."

The production, which filmed in Oklahoma, has some big-name stars in the lineup alongside Fraser. "I'm going to work with Scorsese and Leo and Bob De Niro," the actor told his fan, whose name is Lindley. "I think I might be sick. A little anxious. It's going to be fun but …" He trailed off, as he bit his nails anxiously.

While many fans turn to their idols when they're worried or anxious, the positions were flipped during this heartwarming conversation, as Fraser's fan quickly reassured the actor about his stance in the entertainment industry. "You've got this," she affirmed. "Just know the internet is behind you; we're so supportive. There are so many people out there who love you, and we're rooting for you and we can't wait to see what you do next."

After hearing his fan's words of affirmation, Fraser was overwhelmed with emotions and choked up. He took a sip from his water, tipped his hat respectfully, and said, "Shucks, ma'am." The clip has since circulated across the internet, with many Fraser fans getting choked up themselves. "I've never wanted a comeback so much for someone," one fan said, as per The Independent. Another said, "I got choked up when he got choked up."

Fraser initially took some time away from the spotlight following an incredibly demanding job and jam-packed schedule. According to The Straits Times, the actor spoke out about how the extreme and physically demanding roles he used to play during the late 1990s and early 2000s really took a toll on his body, especially since he did his own stunts.

Fraser spent seven years in and out of hospitals for various operations, including a partial knee replacement, vocal cord repair work and a lumbar laminectomy — a back procedure to relieve pressure on the spinal cord or nerves. "By the time I did the third 'Mummy' picture in China, I was put together with tape and ice — I was building an exoskeleton for myself daily," Fraser told GQ.

While Fraser has been extremely busy reclaiming his fame, it's safe to say that many fans think that his time away from the big screen was definitely worth the wait. According to Closer Weekly, fans call this revival of Fraser's career the "Brenaissance."

Aside from his upcoming project, "Killers of the Flower Moon," which is set to release in November 2022, Fraser has been working extremely hard in the acting department. According to his IMDB page, the star currently has several projects either completed or in the post-production stage.

Fraser is set to star in the movie "Brothers" opposite Josh Brolin and Glenn Close. However, the plot of the film has been kept very under wraps. Fraser is also set to appear in a handful of other upcoming films, including "Batgirl," "The Whale" and "Behind the Curtain of Night."
