Stray dogs deal with all kinds of threats to their life. Searching for food and water makes each day a struggle. The poor, homeless animals must also dodge fast-moving cars on busy roads. The winter season brings an enormous hazard, cold weather. When the temperature drops too low, dogs can die from exposure. Shelter, however, is not easy to locate. Mercifully, there is a bus station that does its best to help four-legged friends find a safe place to rest during the winter.
Homeless dogs are found in countries around the world. Brazil is no exception, and many abandoned dogs find their way to the streets. The animals breed, creating an even larger population. In Curitiba, Brazil, kindhearted people at the bus terminal did their part to help these stray creatures, as reported in The Telegraph.
A politician learned about the bus station's actions, and he posted about them on social media.

People's hearts went out to the dogs, and, more importantly, they donated things to make life more comfortable for the canines.
Several custom-made dog beds arrived at the bus terminal. Now, the happy dogs have warm beds to sleep in. Some of the beds are old tires padded with blankets. The makeshift beds do their job. They help the dogs maintain their warmth and comfort through the night.
People around the world do beautiful things to help stray animals. Many more people might do something if they thought their actions mattered, or something inspired them, which is where social media can play a part.
The images of the Curitiba likely touched many people's hearts and moved them to do something beneficial. Even if someone donates a small amount of money to a homeless pet shelter, it does a lot of good.
You can do some good by raising awareness about the Brazilian bus terminal. Tell people about this act of kindness - they may become inspired.
