On Sunday Brad Pitt won his third Golden Globe!

He received the Golden Globe for "Best Supporting Actor - Motion Picture" for his work on Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

After receiving a standing ovation, Pitt got up on stage for his acceptance speech. He expressed his great admiration for all the other nominees, including Tom Hanks, Anthony Hopkins, Joe Pesci, and Al Pacino. He revealed that they were "like gods" to him when he started his acting career.

Pitt then went on to thank Quentin Tarantino who directed Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the movie that led to Pitt's Golden Globe nomination. Afterward, he addressed a special and hilarious word of gratitude to his co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio:

"I also have to thank my partner in crime, LDC. Before “The Revenant,” I used to watch year after year his co-stars accept awards and get up and thank him profusely. I know why he’s an all-star; he’s a gent. I wouldn’t be here without you, man. I thank you. Still, I would have shared the raft,” Pitt joked, referring to DiCaprio's part in Titanic.

Pitt also expressed his gratitude to his parents and smiled into the camera saying:

"I want to say hi to my folks because, hey they're back in the Ozarks. I wanted to bring my mom, but everyone I sit next to they say I'm dating." With that Pitt referred to the newest rumors about his love life.

Brad Pitt ended his acceptance speech with a piece of advice for the audience and anyone watching at home:

"If you have the chance to be kind tomorrow, take it," he said. "I think we need it."

Pitt's Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor - Motion Picture has been his third Golden Globe so far. He received his previous Golden Globes for Best Supporting Actor in 12 Monkeys (1996) and for Best Motion Picture - Drama with 12 Years a Slave (2014) which Pitt produced.

So far Pitt's role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, in which he plays Cliff Booth, the stuntman and best friend of veteran actor Rick Dalton (Leonard DiCaprio) has been a big success for the actor. Who knows, Pitt might even win an Oscar for it at this year's awards ceremony on Feb. 9.
