Rumor has it that even Brad Pitt gets starstruck! The 62-year-old Oscar winner opened up on the “New Heights” podcast in July 2025, where he revealed which two female co-stars once left him completely starstruck. It was a surprising confession from someone who has spent over three decades in the spotlight, working alongside Hollywood’s biggest names.

Before reaching superstardom, Pitt began his acting journey with minor roles in popular TV shows such as “Growing Pains” and “21 Jump Street.” These early appearances helped him gain valuable experience and build a foothold in the industry. His big break came in 1991 with the Oscar-winning “Thelma & Louise,” where he played J.D., a smooth-talking drifter. Although his role was brief, his undeniable charm and charisma made a lasting impression on audiences and industry insiders alike.

In the years that followed, Pitt took on a series of significant roles in critically acclaimed and commercially successful films. He starred in “A River Runs Through It,” “Legends of the Fall,” and “Interview with the Vampire,” solidifying his image as a leading man and heartthrob. He continued to challenge himself with darker, more complex roles in films like “Seven,” “12 Monkeys,” and “Fight Club,” earning praise for his range and dedication.

Pitt’s fame only continued to rise in the 2000s with blockbuster hits such as the “Ocean’s Eleven” trilogy and the epic “Troy.” By then, he was no longer just a talented actor, but had become a cultural icon with worldwide recognition. Despite his success, Pitt’s candid podcast appearance proved that even legends have their moments of awe.

In a July 2, 2025, podcast with Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce, Pitt shared a surprising moment from early in his career – he once found himself starstruck by two of his most iconic co-stars. The A-lister stated:

“When I first met Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon, I was. Yeah.”

He continued:

“I got over it quickly, though.”

The moment traces back to his breakout role in the 1991 film “Thelma & Louise,” where Pitt played J.D., a charming drifter who seduces Davis’ character, Thelma, and later steals money from her and Sarandon’s character. It was a career-defining performance, and filming one particular scene left a strong impression.

Pitt recalled in a 2023 interview with W Magazine.

“Geena (Davis) was so sweet and kind and delicate,” he said, continuing, “That love scene, I think, went on for two days of shooting. She took care of me.”

Though Pitt was a relative newcomer at the time, his performance left a lasting impact on his more established co-stars.

Sarandon told Extra in 2021:

“When I saw the film, the part that really impressed me, in addition to his good looks and great body, was his sense of humor because he really fleshed that part out in a way that wasn’t necessarily in the script.”

She added that Pitt “took it as a character part and as we can see from his career, he really continued to push the envelope in ways that he really didn’t have to when you look like that.”

Davis echoed similar praise in a 2020 interview with PEOPLE, saying:

“He just has ‘it.’ I could tell when he was auditioning that he was super talented. ... He has done so many incredible things over the years... He really is the ‘star’ of the moment, which is fabulous.”
