While celebrity relationships don’t always have the best reputation, some couples manage to make it in the busy world the entertainment industry brings. Many actors, singers and other entertainers met their partners in the business and have become known as power couples. For example, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds worked together before dating and getting married. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are another well-known couple, having been married for over 26 years.

And then there’s Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley. The former is a country music star while the latter is a well-known actress. Paisley has sold millions of albums and is the recipient of several awards and accolades. Much of his music does well on the country music charts, making him a highly respected artist in the industry. Some of his most popular songs include “Waitin’ on a Woman,” “Whiskey Lullaby” and “Remind Me.”

Williams-Paisley is known for her breakthrough performance in 1991’s “Father of the Bride” and its 1995 sequel. She has also starred in several made-for-TV movies, and guest starred on plenty of shows like “George Lopez,” “Nashville” and “According to Jim.”

Paisley and Williams-Paisley first met on the set of Paisley’s music video for “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song)” and began dating shortly after. It was clear they had a beautiful connection from the beginning, and their love story quickly flourished. The pair tied the knot in 2003, just two years after dating. Years later, the couple has two children and has been married for nearly 20 years. Williams-Paisley said that years later she is still in love with her country star husband because of how big his heart is.

Paisley and Williams-Paisley have been a beautiful couple for over 20 years, loving each other as husband and wife for 19 of those years. Before they were the power couple they are today, they had a very charming meeting. During an interview on “The Meredith Vieira Show,” Williams-Paisley spoke about how her husband first met her because he loved her performance in “Father of the Bride.”

The country music star saw the movie with his then-girlfriend at the time, but it clearly didn’t work out for the pair. However, Paisley couldn’t stop thinking about the pretty actress in the movie and decided to give her a call several years later. As “I’m Gonna Miss Her” is rumored to be about Paisley’s ex-girlfriend, it was only fitting that his now-wife starred in the song’s music video, as her movie had been a pivotal point in their relationship.

Paisley and Williams-Paisley began dating shortly after and got engaged in less than a year, according to the latter. On March 15, 2003, they officially became husband and wife, and Williams-Paisley — formerly known as Kimberly Williams — added her new husband's surname to her own. The pair used to have a home in Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles but now reside in Franklin, Tennessee.

In February 2007, the couple became parents, welcoming their first son, William Huckleberry “Huck” Paisley in Nashville. They had their second son, Jasper Warren Paisley, in April 2009. According to PEOPLE, Jasper’s middle name comes from Paisley’s grandfather, who was the one who encouraged Paisley to pursue music professionally and even gave the country star his first guitar. With so many Hollywood couples not making it in the end, this couple has maintained their relationship with hard work and seeing each other for who they truly are.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in 2021, Williams-Paisley shared that she loves her husband for his "gigantic heart." She went on to say that Paisley cares so much. "You care about all creatures, great and small,” she shared.

Her husband also said they truly enjoy spending time together. They look forward to date nights out but also live for spending nights at home together. "A lot of married couples would rather do anything but spend the evening together," he said. "That's not the case in our house,” he added.

In an interview with Good Housekeeping in 2007, the couple shared they also try and forgive each other rather than hold onto arguments. "She's really good about not holding grudges," Paisley said. His wife added, "And he's really good about apologizing." The couple tries not to go to bed angry. "She says there's this whole phrase I could say in my sleep: 'I'm sorry. You're right. And I love you,'" Paisley shared.

Knowing that as a couple they are in the public eye, they work extra hard on their marriage. "We figured, the odds are against us because we're both in entertainment," Williams-Paisley said. "And we know that it's really rare for couples to succeed. So we wanted to arm ourselves with as many strategies as we could," she went on to say.

The Hollywood couple also remembers where they started. They sit down every year to reminisce on how far their relationship has come. According to PEOPLE, the duo sits down together on their wedding anniversary every year to write down their favorite memories from the past 365 days. Williams-Paisley explained: “We record the meaningful moments, the best laughs. That’s a big part of our relationship — focusing on the laughter and keeping a sense of play.”
