Country-singer Brad Paisley and his actor wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley just broke ground on a new non-profit grocery store they are opening up to help feed the underserved in Nashville, Tennessee. Brad and Kimberly also received a $1.5 million grant from the Department of Human Services to help fund their project.

The non-profit grocery store is called “The Store” and is set-up like a food pantry but gives the feel of a grocery store where the food is free.

“This is a grocery store with dignity for people who have fallen on hard times,” said Brad Paisley as cited by The Tennessean. “All of us are one unforeseen disaster away from rock bottom. It’s nice to think about a place where when that happens to someone, they can use it to get back on their feet.”
