Riley Rankin is in the running for boyfriend of the year. Knowing that his girlfriend, Denisha Bracey, was dealing with anxiety and panic attacks, he decided to surprise her with a very special gift to celebrate their two year anniversary.

Rankin, of Nova Scotia, Halifax, obtained 60 empty gelatin capsules from the local pharmacy according to The Huffington Post. He then filled each capsule with 60 tiny love notes. He instructed Bracey to take a pill whenever she felt sad or anxious. These "love pills" were made by Rankin to show his love just how much she is cared about.

Bracey began experiencing anxiety as a teenager. When she was 17, she started to have panic attacks reports Bored Panda. Not being around her family as much as she would like has made the mental health issues even worse.

Rankin knew that his girlfriend did not like taking pills for her anxiety. So he designed this pretend prescription to give her the lift that she needed. The thoughtful boyfriend even told her that she could get a refill if she ever needs more.

It took Rankin two hours to write all of the little notes of affirmation, proving his love for his girl. Rankin also suffers from anxiety, making it easy for him to relate to what Bracey goes through on a daily basis. He said that Bracey does so much for him that he wanted to give back to her somehow.

Obviously, Bracey loved this gesture even though she was initially confused about why he was giving her medication. She said that she was overwhelmed that he would take the time to make such a special gift.

Although loving acts like this are not a medical cure for anxiety, it definitely helps to know that you are loved and supported. It is important to always seek the help of a health professional if you feel like you cannot cope with the burden of anxiety.
