Boy Washes Cars All Summer For Cash To Buy School Supplies And Clothes; Then Neighbors Surprise Him

Aug 21, 2018 by apost team

Summer break is something most students look forward to. It's a time to have fun in the sun, kick back, goof off, and do something close to nothing. Not every child has this option, however, and young Javari had to help earn some cash for new school duds and essential school supplies.

You have heard the stories from others. For example, one family of kids had lost their mom, and their military uncle would take them shopping, but times were tough, and the Dollar Tree was the only place they could afford to go for supplies.

Angela O’Neal Jacks heard their story and tried to help them. Also, an elderly couple would shop for the children at Walmart.

In this case, enterprising Javari came up with a smart way to earn some cash during the summer. His mom Schancy Armstrong was doing her best for Javari and his three other siblings, but it would be almost impossible for her to buy all her children the adequate clothing and supplies for the upcoming new school year.

Javari went about his neighborhood in Eatonville, Florida, telling folks he would wash their cars for $20 apiece. Jessica Detrick and Jonathan Haltam, an engaged couple living nearby, felt for young Javari. They saw how dedicated he was trying to raise money for school stuff and happily agreed to let him wash their vehicle.

Jessica and Jonathan's hearts broke "into a million pieces" when they learned that Javari was spending the entire summer trying to earn cash for new school supplies. Jonathan's generous boss played a key role in an amazing surprise. Jon Proechel helped Jonathan get his shift covered one evening and donated $100 towards helping Javari get school essentials.

Talk about a great swag bag, the couple got hold of Javari and his siblings' wish list and went shopping. Jessica and Jonathan picked up some hip and classic school things and videotaped the incredible haul to wow Javari at home. The young student is entering freshman year, and like for most students, that's a big deal. You want to look fly, confident and ready to go.

The story doesn't end there. The wonderful couple also enlisted the help of social media to raise even more money for Javari and his siblings via Facebook. Compassionate folks responded in a major way, and within less than one week, some 213 people had donated $4,410 to the family.

Mrs. Armstrong was blown away by the generosity and kind hearts, and she thanked those who wanted to help their family out. She included a beautiful photo of all four children. Her kids include Javari, Terren, Nate and Ayanna.

She believes in paying it forward and hopes to return the favor to others. Mrs. Armstrong praised God for the miracle and thanked Jessica Detrick and Jonathan Haltam for living by the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" (Matt. 7:12).

The young engaged couple had help from family and friends when they were growing up and needed basics like brand new clothing and school supplies. They revealed on Rumble that they simply wanted to do the same for someone else.

This is an absolute must-see video story that reminds us all that we live in a world filled with great people. Sure, there is violence and evil, but goodness and decency always triumph.

Keep this story circulating, so more and more people can witness a kind deed in action.
