Boy Is Adopted; Reveals He Will Be A Big Brother On The Same Day

One child was adopted, but he received even greater news on the day. He found out his new parents were expecting another child. The boy, Jeremiah Dickerson, age 4, found out he was going to be a big brother.

Jordan Dickerson, Jeremiah's new mother said that they fell in love with the child's smile and joy on Good Morning America. She knew right away that the child would fit in well with their family. "There was no denying it," she said.

The child first met his new family in January of 2017 during their visit at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. Jordan was working there are a pediatric nurse. As for Jeremiah, he was currently looking for a family, and was in dire need for help with his medical problems. He had to wear a trach tube. It wasn't long after Jordan met Jeremiah that she told her husband that she wanted to bring him home.

Her plan didn't originally work out though. It wasn't long until she found at that someone else had already taken Jeremiah home. Jordan said that she was confused, and she knew that Jeremiah was supposed to be her son instead. It wasn't until Jordan was on vacation with her husband Cole that she discovered that Jeremiah had returned to the hospital. It wasn't long until Jordan and Cole underwent foster care training in order to take Jeremiah home with them. In June of 2018, Jeremiah was officially made a part of the Dickerson's family.

The day the adoption was made official, Jeremiah posed outside on the courthouse steps with a sign that said: "Today I Became A Dickerson, Up Next...Big Brother"

Jeremiah's story is truly heartwarming. It isn't often a child finds his perfect match. However, the Dickersons have surely made him feel welcome. Tell your friends about this story of one foster child finally finding someone to care for and love him.
