Boxer "Eye Rolls" Mom When She's Made To Leave Neighbor's House

The relationship between humans and animals is both a special and sometimes comical one. When a Boxer by the name of Daisy May was picked up by her owner at a neighbor's house, after she ran away to be there, the interaction that followed was hilarious. Sitting in the back seat of the car, the dog was given a stern talking to, and her body language suggests she knows she's guilty.

The video begins with Daisy May being instructed to jump into the backseat of the vehicle. At first she seems to be in good spirits, but then the chastising begins and immediately Daisy May appears to know she messed up. "You know you're not supposed to be here, right?" says someone in the front seat, recording Daisy's reaction. The boxer almost immediately turns her head to face out the window, as if she's ignoring the comment, followed by what looks like an eye roll. The reaction is hilarious and perfectly sums up what is going on.

The person continues: "And you come over here every day. This isn't your house." Daisy meanwhile, begins facing down at her seat, and looking in any direction but forwards to the person talking to her. The woman notices this and attempts to call Daisy out on evading the discussion, "Hey, this isn't your house," she continues.

The other woman in the front of the car adds, "You need to stay home with Mac, he's your friend." Daisy is obviously agitated at the inquisition, looking in all directions –– up, down, sideways –– so as to avoid the stern talking to. The scene is almost as if Daisy is a teenage girl being reprimanded for breaking rules, it's very funny to see.

"You're supposed to be home with Mac, you leave him there by himself. All the time, every day. And then we have to come get you when it's time to eat dinner. Daisy, I'm talking to you...Why do you do it every day? You leave Mac alone by himself, and then you get mad at us when we come get you. Why don't you like staying home?" she says to Daisy.

The dog starts making a sound at this point, like a soft whimper, as if she's sick of the discussion and just wants to be left alone. The woman engages her, saying: "Really? We like it when you're home. We miss you...Just say you're sorry, say 'I'm sorry.'" Right after this as they've reached their destination, Daisy lets out a louder, more exasperated groan, as if to truly say she is sorry.

It's a mystery why Daisy keeps running to the neighbor's house every day, but perhaps she has a friend there she keeps coming back to? Or perhaps even a dog that she is in love with? Who knows!

Dogs exhibit characteristics that make them so different from humans, particularly their sense of smell. While humans have a mere six million olfactory receptors in our noses, dogs have up to 300 million! The part of the brain in dogs that analyzes smell is also vastly different, and proportionally, about 40 times bigger in dogs than in humans. Perhaps it's something related to Daisy's incredible sense of smell that has her repeatedly coming back to the neighbor's house?
