Bored Puppy On Plane Entertains Passengers Behind Him By Making Silly Faces

The life of a puppy should be full of fun and adventure – until they’re forced to sit still for long periods of time. This is exactly what happened to a young dog named Huxley, who found himself bored stiff on a long plane flight from London to Ibiza back in 2019. 

While some pets enjoy getting to leave their home and see what else the world has to offer, it seemed like Huxley was not in the mood to go on a new adventure – at least not one that required him to sit still for a long time. The sweet little pooch was made to sit in a seat beside his owner, Ursula Daphne Aitchison. He was supposed to behave, but, like most puppies, that was easier said than done.

Aitchison explained that her dog was being good until he got into a “mood” because she wasn’t giving the big ball of fur enough attention. Determining that it was time to find someone who would play with him, this puppy jumped down and began to roam the plane, she explained to The Dodo.

Thankfully, the person sitting in the row in front of him was thrilled to have a furry friend who could keep them entertained during the long flight. Huxley jumped right up beside them and was happy to sit still – until he heard a bag of chips that had been opened somewhere else on the plane.

It was his human mommy that had opened the salty snack, and it seemed as though Huxley wasn’t thrilled that she was eating without him! 

“He quickly changed his tune when he heard me eating my crisps,” Aitchison said. Huxley stuck his head between the backs of the seats so that he could watch her and made a series of hilarious faces.

From a crinkled-up grimace to an array of goofy faces, Huxley didn’t stop until he had the entire load of passengers in stitches! He stuck his tongue out and showed off his strong teeth. Sure enough, Huxley’s silly faces brought rounds of laughter from onlookers who were glad to have something to distract them from the boring ride.

Aitchison continued:

“He spent 30 minutes in that seat; the man next to him said he was a very good passenger and the man across the aisle was taking selfies with him. Huxley kept giving him his paw to hold. He was making lots of people laugh and the man next to me asked to take his photo to send to his daughter.”

Aitchison was so enamored by his array of faces that she snapped pictures of Huxley to upload to the internet. She captioned them with the explanation that she “couldn’t breathe” from laughing so much. If you looked through the series of different photos, you could certainly get a chuckle as well!

One person commented, “I would pay extra for these seats!” Another said, “These photos are hilarious.” A third person shared, “We don’t deserve these wonderful creatures.”
