Amidst all of the destruction of the devastating wildfires in Australia come stories of truly heroic actions. Patsy, a 6-year-old kelpie-border collie cross from Corryong, Australia, helped save her flock of sheep from the flames, and now has been rewarded with an Instagram account.

One of these heroes is simply a dog. A border collie named Patsy was able to round up a flock of sheep and save them from the encroaching fire that threatened their farm on New Year's Eve in the small town of Corryong in Victoria, Australia, reports The Daily Mail.

Cath Hill is the sister of Patsy's owner. She was so impressed by Patsy's heroics that she posted a picture to her Instagram of Patsy standing in the frontlines of the fire to Patsy's Instagram. Cath said that Patsy was instrumental in helping to round up the sheep and direct them to a safe paddock away from the danger of the wildfires.

Because of Patsy and her owner, the farm was spared a devastating loss. Both farmhouses, a shearing shed, and nearly all of the sheep were saved from the looming flames, The Daily Mail continued.

Cath said that she fears that the fires are about to get worse. The hottest conditions in Australia occur during the months of January and February, indicating that there will be little relief from Mother Nature as the fires continue to rage and spread.

So far Cath's post about Patsy and her bravery has been shared more than 7,000 times on her Facebook. Cath is hoping that this awareness will help to raise money to help firefighters in their efforts to get the wildfires under control.

After you have checked out this amazing video, be sure to spread the message about the devastation down under to everyone in your social network, and this particular pooch's heroics.
