Bond star Daniel Craig has reportedly been flown to the U.S. for X-rays following an injury to his ankle. This is only the latest in a string of hurdles that have halted production for the fifth, and reportedly final, appearance as James Bond.

According to The Sun, the actor injured himself after a fall while filming one of his last scenes in Jamaica.

“He was sprinting during filming when he slipped and fell quite awkwardly,” the source said. “He was in quite a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle.”

The film was scheduled to begin filming at London’s iconic Pinewood Studios at the end of the week. Unfortunately, filming had to be canceled due to the delay. It is unknown how long production could be delayed.

Craig, who is known to perform many of his own stunts, has been injured multiple times on the set of Bond films in the past. During his first stunt while filming for Casino Royale, he had two teeth knocked out. He tore a shoulder muscle and sliced off the tip of his finger, among other injuries, on the “Quantum Solace” set, and while filming a fight scene for his most recent outing as the world’s most beloved spy in 2015’s “Spectre,” he injured his knee.

This is also not the first delay “Bond 25” has seen over the course of production. The film was originally slated to be released in October 2019, but its release date was pushed back to April 8, 2020.

During the scripting process, original director Danny Boyle left abruptly due to ‘creative differences’ with producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. Extensive script changes led to further delays in production.

As production officially began, the cast was finally released in April 2019. Oscar-winner Rami Malek is slated to play the film’s villain, with new additions like Ana De Armas, Billy Magnussen, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, and Lashana Lynch. Familiar faces set to return to the cast include Ben Wishaw, Jeffrey Wright, Lea Seydoux, Naomi Harris, Ralph Fiennes, and Rory Kinnear. The film is set to film in London, Italy, and Norway.
