Blind Pit Bull Sweetly Cuddles Cat Friend

Do you believe that love is blind? Do you also believe that it’s unlikely for cats and dogs to get along? This video may challenge your views! Pet lovers who’ve had both know that cats and dogs generally tolerate each other in the same house, but can get in spats. They are, after all, very different animals. But in this video, an adorable Pit Bull and fluffy cat best friend show their deep care and affection for each other, and it couldn’t be cuter.

Petunia is a blind Pit Bull spending some of her free time on the couch with her best friend, Griffin the cat. Petunia lays adorably behind Griffin, with her paws extended around the kitty, hugging Griffin against her chest. Griffin seems to be well into it, even laying his head across Petunia’s neck. A nap is so much more comfortable when you have someone warm and furry next to you!

Griffin is even subject to a little extra love as the cuteness ramps up with Petunia licking the back of Griffin’s head, grooming her friend. While grooming often takes place between animals of the same species, it’s pretty rare to see the cute, small Pit Bull set aside “cultural” differences and preciously give her kitty friend some TLC.

Griffin, perhaps deciding that one turn is as good as another stretches his long body out from the snuggle position, but it’s not because he wants to get away! Instead, he adopts a curl around his pooch’s friend’s head and gives a return hug to his furry snuggle buddy! As if it couldn’t get any cuter, Petunia is unwilling to give up her grooming and keeps trying to lick his feline friend.

It’s clear from the interaction of these two adorable animals that they don’t give a care what species their snuggle buddy is, and all they care about is providing warmth, comfort, and maybe a little cleaning service to their cherished companion. This is one of those delightful circumstances where animals can teach us a little bit about ourselves. Studies have even shown that hugs improve health, reports Healthline. So whether it’s a pet, a parent, a friend, or whatever, this is a good example to not hold back on hugs and comfort.
