Blind Man Drops $20 At Restaurant, Then Teen Employee Sees Woman Behind Him Slip It In Her Purse

For our society to thrive, people need to be unethical. Unfortunately, too many people are content to do things that are harmful because they see an opportunity that benefits only them. Thankfully, there are those who are willing to be upstanding citizens, as one selfless teenager proved.

At a fast-food restaurant, Minn, a blind customer dropped a $20 bill. 19-year-old manager Joey Prusak witnessed another customer pick up the bill and figured she would give it back to the man. Instead, she stashed it in her purse. Not willing to let this kind of dishonesty stand in his store, Prusak politely but firmly told the woman to return it.

She refused, claiming that it was her own money.

He then ordered her to leave the store. To make things right, he gave the blind man $20 from his own wallet.

Prusak's dedication to his customers did not go unnoticed. Another customer reported to the store's owner what had transpired. From there, word quickly spread around town and on social media and news sites about Prusak's selfless deed.

Donations started coming in to reimburse Prusak for his thoughtfulness.

Though the spotlight is on him, Prusak has continued to be humble.

He doesn't see this as being something that makes him heroic.

It was his well-developed moral compass that made him see no other option but to help the man. When the woman refused to do what was right, he did what he could. He wasn't looking for plaudits or even recognition. He just wanted to continue to make the world as ethical as it should be.
