Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s relationship only seems to grow stronger each day! Shelton and Stefani have been a musical power couple for more than seven years. Their relationship is incredibly sweet, as they've had a very high-profile romance ever since the two coaches from "The Voice" got together in 2015. They often praise each other on social media and declare their love for one another, and have already begun their beautiful life together as a married couple.
Shelton first became known as a country music artist back in 2001 with his song "Austin," which instantly launched him into stardom. Since then, Shelton has shared his musical talent through his honest, emotional and fun songs.
Meanwhile, Stefani first found fame with her band No Doubt during the 1990s and has since gone on to make a real name for herself as a solo artist with hits like "Cool" and "Hollaback Girl."
Finding solace with each other after their respective divorces, Shelton and Stefani now live happily together in Oklahoma with the latter’s three kids — 16-year-old Kingston, 14-year-old Zuma and 8-year-old Apollo — from her former relationship with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.
Shelton had no children with his ex-wife Miranda Lambert but has taken on the role of becoming a stepfather to Stefani’s three boys. Reports in December 2022 also alleged that Shelton and Stefani are expecting a child of their own.
The pair have already proven they work well together, both in a family dynamic and as colleagues. While they showed off their chemistry as coaches on "The Voice," Shelton and Stefani have also spread cheer with musical releases over the years, including country songs and holiday songs.
In 2017, Shelton released a song called "Turnin’ Me On," which he revealed was inspired by Stefani. It is the third song from his album "Texoma Shore."

Fans instantly knew the song was about Stefani, citing Shelton’s reference to the cosmetics brand Revlon, for whom his girlfriend served as a spokesperson.
“Knows how to set me on fire / She's always holding the match / And when my body's beside hers / There ain't no turning back / She's Revlon red in the blackest night / Lighting up the room in the world just like,” Shelton wrote in the lyrics for "Turnin' Me On."
Shelton talked about how the song came to be, as he said it all started with a guitar in his hand while on tour. While writing a melody, he didn’t know he was about to make something beautiful that day.
“We’re sitting on my bus one day earlier in 2017 and I think I was in Baton Rouge,” Shelton said. “I was up there alone and I had my guitar, started playing a little melody that I was hearing in my head and next thing you know I started writing a song. I wrote a verse, then I wrote a chorus, then I realized it was going somewhere and I felt good about it,” he added.
Admitting that he feels proud about the song, Shelton said it wasn’t really hard to figure out who he was talking about in it and hinted it was really about his then-girlfriend and now-wife.
“Like I always (have) in the last couple of years I called up my friend Jessi Alexander and said, ‘Man, I think I’m onto something and I need somebody way better than me to try to bring this thing home.’ She and I and Josh Osborne ended up writing this song, I’m super proud of it — and it’s not hard to figure out who this song is about,” he remarked.

In September 2018, Shelton serenaded Stefani with an acoustic version of the song. “I’m so grateful,” Stefani captioned her post. Months later, in December 2018, "The Voice" host Carson Daly cornered Shelton and asked about the inspiration behind the song.
“Who inspired the song 'Turnin' Me On'?" Daly asked. To which Shelton hilariously responded, "You.” He added: “You, Carson."
It wasn’t the first song that Shelton wrote with his girlfriend in mind. In fact, he has written "I’ll Name the Dogs" with Stefani as his inspiration, too.
Shelton and Stefani have also collaborated on different albums, which went on to perform really well on the charts — proving the two of them harmonize and complement each other really well. Those songs include "Nobody but You" and "Happy Anywhere," which are both singles by Shelton featuring Stefani.
The couple also has a Christmas song together called "You Make It Feel Like Christmas," which is off Stefani’s holiday album of the same name. The song seems to hold a special place in Shelton’s heart as he shared a clip from the music video on his Instagram in December 2022. He and Stefani looked incredibly dapper in their attire as they sang the festive song together.
Having tied the knot in 2021, Shelton said his relationship with his wife goes beyond an ordinary relationship, as he considers her his best friend.
“The relationship that we have is so natural and so normal. This feels like the easiest thing I've ever been a part of," he said. "To me, she’s my best friend and everything that I need and lean on,” Shelton said.
