Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani met on the set of the popular singing competition show, "The Voice," where they were both coaches and quickly developed a close friendship that eventually turned into romance. One of the reasons Shelton and Stefani's relationship captured the public's attention is their seemingly unlikely pairing. Shelton is a country boy from Oklahoma, while Stefani is a California girl who made her name in the rock and pop music worlds.

Shelton is a country music singer and songwriter who has released numerous hit songs throughout his career, including "Austin," "Some Beach," and "God's Country." He was also named People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" in 2017. Stefani is a pop singer and songwriter who rose to fame in the 1990s as the lead singer of the rock band No Doubt and has also released several successful solo albums, including "Love. Angel. Music. Baby." and "This Is What the Truth Feels Like.

Shelton and Stefani's relationship quickly blossomed into something more. They made their public debut as a couple in November 2015 when they were spotted holding hands at a Halloween party. Another reason their relationship has been the subject of so much fascination is their history – both singers went through high-profile divorces at the same time – Shelton from fellow country singer Miranda Lambert and Stefani from Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. Stefani had three sons with Rossdale before their divorce in 2016.

While their combined net worth is worth more than thousands of dollars, the two have lived a rather simple and laid-back lifestyle away from Hollywood and deep into their woods and ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma – the same ranch where they tied the knot in 2021.

Since being married in 2021, Shelton and Stefani have shifted to a simple lifestyle – switching the glitzy lifestyle in Hollywood for a more slow-paced and laid-back life in Oklahoma. Shelton is exiting his longest stint yet as one of the coaches of "The Voice."

"I've been wrestling with this for a while and I've decided that it's time for me to step away from The Voice after season 23," Shelton confessed

As Stefani exited Season 22 with Camila Cabello, Shelton will after Season 23. Stefani was a coach on the show for six seasons – which made her a go-to person for up-and-coming artists in the industry right now.

In a conversation between Sounds Like Nashville and country singer Carly Pearce, the "What He Didn't Do" singer gushed about Stefani and Blake, praising the couple for giving her sound advice.

"She is as awesome and as rocker, bad girl as you would think. But also, one of the most down-to-earth people in the whole world. She and Blake were so kind to me. They definitely just gave me a lot of advice as a young, new artist and told me about their journeys and she's just as cool as you would think," Pearce told the outlet

The couple's humility and willingness to teach younger artists in the industry goes to show how great their dynamics and their wisdom in life is.

When Shelton was hailed by People Magazine in 2017 as the Sexiest Man Alive, Stefani, who was still his girlfriend at the time, defined what makes Shelton really sexy.

"What defines sexy?" she told Entertainment Tonight. "I think somebody that is humble, kind, down to earth, talented, on the top of their game, should I keep going?"

When everyone was forced to stay inside their homes during quarantine, Stefani and Shelton lived quietly on their 1,300-acre ranch in Oklahoma. The two are actually living the life many had aspired to have in the countryside – their husbands plowing and planting on the field while their wives do the chores and cook some hearty lunch and supper.

In 2020, in the midst of the quarantine, Stefani revealed to Today With Hoda & Jenna that she actually had to do the dirty work in their own home.

"I feel like since we were all locked down, I had to do so much laundry and cleaning and cooking and toilet cleaning and it was like, it was so gross," the singer admits.

"It was a lot of work. I was home-schooling. We had five kids here home-schooling."

Stefani and Shelton were living with her brother's family on the same ranch in Oklahoma during the pandemic. In addition to doing the chores, the 53-year-old songstress is also firing up the kitchen!

"Gwen and I, our tradition has become cooking during Christmas — and not just like your normal, typical (dishes), but we always challenge ourselves and try to come up with a different, weird, complicated, difficult thing to cook every year," Shelton revealed.

All while Stefani is busy doing the chores back at home, Shelton is enjoying the open field and his ranch like the Oklahoma boy he is. In an Instagram post, Shelton gave everyone a peek at his very physically demanding chore – plowing the fields with his tractor!

"Guess what time it is, America? Way too early to be planting food plots, but I'm getting 'em ready! Woo!" Shelton said in excitement on a video as he plowed the field.
